I went through the register at nursery this morning to see if I could remember any of the children’s names. There was Judith, Irene, Valentine, Omari, ..........I'm getting to know each of them, but I came across one I didn’t know, God’s Love. I’ll make a point of finding that little one tomorrow.
We have lunch in the staff room at college now. Rice, meat stew, cabbage or spinach and a banana or mango - all in the same bowl. It’s welcome though and nice to eat with others. Today we were handed a letter from Les, our brother-in-law. Receiving post from home is more of a pleasure than you would think. He had taken such trouble to write such a long letter and, for us, news from home seems more important than ever.
Last thing, we went for our evening constitutional along the beach; low tide tonight and it was a riot of small pools full of crabs, tiny fish, shells of every colour and size, and then, swooping in for supper, two most graceful stork-like birds. They weren’t storks, they were too small, I think; but they were beautiful.
Lovely picture you draw there Caroline. Thank you!
